UX Lab Hire

Our purpose built user testing Study Lab, Observation Room and Reception / Breakout suite are available for hire.

Situated in the centre of the City, close to 5 Underground tube lines, 3 Underground stations, 2 mainline stations and the DLR, the UX Lab is a convenient location for user testing - easy for clients and easy for participants to attend.

Study Lab

The Study Lab has a top-end networked PC, as well as a full set of HD cameras and microphones, so that a participant can go through the testing process accompanied by a moderator, with the session recorded for future analysis.

We can also provide a range of assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers and voice recognition software, as well as high-visibility keyboards and even assistive gloves and glasses.

Observation Room

The Observation Room provides a comfortable environment in which to watch the user testing. An integrated display screen setup shows the participant and the participant’s desktop, while a third monitor shows a complete wide angle view of the Study Lab.

Extensive white boards and flip charts are available for real-time analysis and design.

The UX Suite is fully equipped throughout with Wi-Fi.

Reception and Break Out Area

The Reception includes comfortable seating for participants before their session begins. The area also doubles-up as a breakout area when sessions are not being conducted.

Refreshments and Snacks

The UX Suite has kitchen facilities for your use throughout the day. There is no charge for bottled water, tea and instant coffee.

Various premium refreshment packages are available at additional cost, including: fruit, biscuits, savoury snacks and Nespresso coffee up to full catering options.

Moderation and Analysis

The basic cost of the UX Lab hire does not include the provision of a moderator or analysis of your test results. However, we can provide a moderator at additional cost to undertake any or all of the following activities:

  • Analysis of your application and preparation of the test scenarios and test plan
  • Moderation of the testing in conjunction with the participants.
  • Analysis of the test results
  • Preparation of a written test report
  • Lead a discussion of the findings at a workshop

All prices are exclusive of VAT.

If you require other services that we haven't mentioned, please ask - we may be able to accommodate them.

Opening Hours

Standard daytime hours are 09:30 to 17:30.

Standard evening hours are 17:30 to 21:30.

Any combination of morning, afternoon and evening sessions can be booked. There is a half-hour allowance for setup and pack-up before and after the session times.

Weekend Hire

The UX Lab is available to hire 7 days a week. On Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays there is an additional hire charge of 50%, which includes dedicated "meet and greet" and IT support.
